Terms of Service

1. Scope

These terms govern the use of "Is it AI?" (the "Service", isitai.me). By accessing the Service and using its tools you accept these terms; if you do not, please do not use the Service. The Service is run by an individual and has no accounts or payments.

2. What the Service does

The Service estimates — inside your browser — the likelihood that a photo or video was generated or manipulated by AI, that text, reviews or accounts are AI-written or manipulated, and that links, messages, emails or QR codes are scams, and shows the estimate as an indicative signal. All tools are free and unlimited. The operator covers running costs with advertising.

3. Nature of the results — not a definitive judgment

Results are probabilistic estimates. False positives (real flagged as AI) and false negatives (AI passed as real) happen. Accuracy drops further on the newest commercial generators, on recompressed, screenshotted or upscaled inputs, and on heavily retouched real photos. Published accuracy figures come from the Service's own gate set and do not generalise to every input. You therefore agree

not to use a result as the sole basis for legal disputes, hiring, academic assessment, journalism or contracts, and
not to use a result to publicly declare that a specific person's photo or writing is "AI" or "fake".

4. Your obligations and prohibited use

Do not use the Service to infringe others' rights (likeness, copyright, personal data) or for unlawful purposes. You are responsible for checking files that depict other people.
Do not flood the edge API with automated requests or otherwise interfere with the Service or third-party infrastructure.
Do not forge result screens or share cards, and do not present the Service's name or logo as an endorsement of your own claims.
Do not exploit vulnerabilities; please report any you find to the contact address.

5. Data

Checks run on your device. Optionally stored analysis data and feedback, and third-party cookies, are governed by the Privacy Policy. You must hold the necessary rights to any file or text you submit.

6. Intellectual property

The Service's writing, design and name belong to the operator. The source code is published on GitHub under the MIT licence (github.com/rayvoidx/ai-image) and may be used under those terms. Rights in the files and text you submit remain yours. Detection models are subject to their respective authors' licences.

7. Advertising

The Service may display Google AdSense ads. Ad content is determined by advertisers and Google and is not endorsed by the operator. External sites reached through ads are governed by their own terms.

8. Changes to and discontinuation of the Service

The operator may add, change or discontinue tools, and models, thresholds and screens may change without notice. As a free service, availability and continuity are not guaranteed.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". The operator makes no warranty as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, and, to the extent permitted by law, is not liable for direct, indirect or incidental damages arising from use of or inability to use the Service (including decisions taken on a misread result, data loss or device load). You are responsible for any claim you make to third parties on the basis of a result.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are first addressed through the contact address below; unresolved disputes are brought before the court having jurisdiction under Korean civil procedure law.

11. Changes to these terms

Changes are posted on this page with the revision date. Material changes that are unfavourable to users are announced on the home page seven days before they take effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
